How We Work
At Wills Simplified, we offer a simpler way to Estate Plan. We take a collaborative, convenient, and education-based approach to Estate Planning with our clients. Here’s what our tried and true 3 step process looks like:
Step 1: Design Meeting. At this initial meeting, we lay the groundwork for your Estate Plan. We will learn about you and your family, as well as your goals throughout your life and beyond. Based upon these family dynamics, we will develop a plan to consider things like guardians for minor children, Wills versus Trusts, and how and why you can keep your Plan current throughout your lifetime.
Step 2: Meaningful Review. Traditional Estate Planning Attorneys do not offer any kind of meaningful review process. At Wills Simplified, we believe that your understanding of your Plan helps to ensure its effectiveness. We provide things like summaries and clear funding instructions to our clients. And with our unique flat-fee structure, you don’t have to worry about unpredictable hourly charges throughout the drafting process for any questions that you might have along the way.
Step 3: Plan Signing. At your signing, we will ensure that your Estate Plan follows witness and notarization requirements necessary to comply with Colorado law. We will provide guidance on how to store your Plan and will provide you with electronic copies of your Plan. We will discuss what to say to family members about your Plan, and when you’ll want to update it throughout your lifetime. (Ask us about our VIP Client Plan!). And all clients always have 30 days to make any minor changes to their Estate Plans at no cost.
